The Theatre Projects include workshops, rehearsals and live performances of classic and contemporary plays by inmates at three Missouri Department of Corrections adult prisons. The Theatre Projects create up to five performances each semester for an audience that includes hundreds of prison inmates and staff, inmate families and outside guests.

Spoken Word Poetry is a program in which the inmates in Vandalia meet weekly to study and write poetry.  The poets read their original work as part of the theatre performance each semester.

Going Home marked the return of Prison Performing Arts to Missouri Eastern Correctional Center in the fall of 2012. Through artistic expression, the men at MECC explore the challenges they'll face upon returning to their home communities.
